Alan received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, where he graduated with high academic achievement. He earned his Juris Doctorate at the Oklahoma City University School of Law, as well as a Certificate in Dispute Resolution.

During law school, Alan was a Merit Scholar, Assistant Resource Editor for the Law Review, and ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition Team Member. Alan graduated summa cum laude and received the Judge Alfred P. Murrah Sr. Award for Outstanding Academic Performance and T. Jordan Hurley Award for Excellence in Criminal Procedures. His academic performance led to him being inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and selected to be a National Member of the Order of Barristers.

Personal

While earning his undergraduate degree, Alan met his wife, LeeAnn. After spending too many years in the cold weather up north, Alan and LeeAnn moved their family to the wonderful state of Oklahoma. Alan and LeeAnn have a strong yearning for faith, education, community, and family. Through their educating themselves, volunteering and serving in local organizations, and actively engaging in their children’s various activities, Alan and LeeAnn endeavor to instill these values upon their children, Brooklynn, Cleighton, and Maggie.
